High above the Neckar, surrounded by scenic vineyards and orchards, lies – about 20 km north of Stuttgart – Schiller´s city Marbach am Neckar, with its historic old town, the museums and the late gothic Alexander Church. Visit to the birth house of Schiller. At night we go into the traditional Golden Lion Restaurant. Overnight in Marbach am Neckar. Breakfast at hotel. Then visit to the National Museum and the mountain Schillershöhe. The evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Marbach am Neckar. Breakfast at hotel. Next trip to Jena; stayed In any other place spent Friedrich Schiller so many time as he did in Jena. He lived and worked here for ten years. Welcome at the hotel. Tour through Schiller’s garden and Gartenhaus, followed by a walk to the Schillers´s places (his former house, main Building of the Friedrich-Schiller-University, Schiller monument, Griesbachscher auditorium). At a suitable place: small lecture on the theme “Schiller in Jena´s track”; Visit Schiller´s Church, where the poet in 22 February 1790 married Charlotte von Lengefeld. Dinner in the historic guest house “Zur Noll”. Overnight in a hotel in Jena Breakfast at hotel. Trip to Bath Lauchstädt to the Modebad of the 18th and 19 Century. Guided tour through the historic Spa with Schillerstein and to the theater that Goethe planned in 1802; Continue to Leipzig-Gohlis. Guided tour in the Schiller´s house (the young Schiller). Trip into the downtown Leipzig. Snack at Auerbacher Keller and, depending on the taste, visit to one of the numerous museums. Return with exit at the Gustav-Adolf-Schinkel Memorial and Schinkel-Baldachin. Overnight at hotel in Jena. Breakfast at hotel. Trip to Weimar; guided walk through the town of German Classicism like Jacob Cemetery, the first tomb Schiller; Historic cemetery with guided tour of the crypt princes; Goethe-Schiller monument in front of the German National Theater; tour through Schiller´s House; individual lunch and time for visits to museums and exhibitions; transfer to Mount Cook; theater of llovers Castle Kochberg . Transfer to Jena and dinner in Waldschlösschen Jena. Breakfast at hotel. Journey to Paulinzella; look at the ruins of the mighty Roman Basilica c olumns, where Schiller visited in 1788 with his friends. Continue to Meiningen; individual walk through the former royal city, a short transfer to Bauerbach where Schiller was guest in 1782/83 in the family von Wolzogen. Journey to Muehlberg; dinner in “Schützenhof” at the foot of the Mühlburg; return to Jena. Breakfast at hotel. Journey to Rudolstadt; guided walk through Residenzstadt and to its places that recalls the life of Schiller’s wife and the summer of 1788 in Rudolstädter. Visit to the house of the families Lengefeld and Beulwitz, where on 7 September 1788 occurred the legendary first encounter between Goethe and Schiller; climb Heidecksburg and tour through the representation spaces of the Baroque castle Heidecksburg; rustic snack with Thuringian specialties in the bus and return home from Rudolstadt to Berlin. Transfer to the airport or booked hotel. End of services.
